Here are the top three stories in Birmingham today:

  1. Crumbl Cookies will be expanding in the Birmingham area. The upscale Cookie franchise will open two new locations in the metro area. The first expansion location is at 100 Colonial Promenade Parkway at Alabaster Promenade and opened on November 18. The second expansion location is at 260 Rele Street next to tasc Performance; It is unclear when this location will open. (AL.com)
  2. The Birmingham Police Department reports that one person has died as a result of a shooting on Saturday in a south-west area of ​​Birmingham. Jerrod Excell Turner, 30, was shot dead at the 2800 block of 29th Street SW. Responding officers found his unresponsive body in the driveway of a vacant house.
