TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – Week 12 of the 2022-23 National Football League regular season ended Monday night. Below is a look at former Alabama players who have excelled in the past week.

Josh Jacobs had a record-breaking performance on his way to being named AFC Offensive Player of the Week. The Raiders’ backlog set the single-game franchise record for total scrimmage yards with 303, including a franchise high of 229 with 33 carries. He also contributed 74 receiving yards on six catches. Most importantly, Jacobs broke the game-winning 86-yard touchdown rush in overtime to give Las Vegas the win over the Seattle Seahawks.

Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts claimed NFC Offensive Player of the Week honors with another outstanding performance. Hurts ran 17 times for 157 yards to go airborne for 153 yards and two touchdowns as he passed 16 of 28. The 157 yards was the most by a quarterback in franchise history as Philadelphia drove to a 40-33 win over the Green Bay Packers.

Along with Jacobs and Hurts, the Chargers’ JK Scott was also named AFC Special Teams Player of the Week for Player of the Week. In Los Angeles’ 25-24 win over the Arizona Cardinals, the veteran punched 234 yards six times. His efforts were highlighted by four punts inside the 20-yard line to help the Bolts win the field position battle in the one-point affair.

Quarterback Mac Jones shone for the New England Patriots on Thanksgiving Day, throwing for 382 yards and two touchdowns while completing 28 of 39 passes. Amari Cooper helped the Browns extend the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Cooper registered seven receptions for 94 yards, but his biggest catch came on a 45-yard reception to earn the game win for Cleveland.

New York Jets linebacker CJ Mosley had another outstanding day to highlight the group of former Tide defensemen. Mosley totaled 10 tackles and added a quarterback rush, a pass defense and an interception to help the Jets to a 31-10 win over the Bears.

Marlon Humphrey, who moved on to secondary school, played a pivotal role for the Baltimore Ravens. Humphrey contributed six tackles, including two for the loss, to rush along with a sack and a quarterback. Commanders lineman Daron Payne had a similar stat line, registering six stops, two of which were lost, and adding a pass defense to Washington’s win over the Atlanta Falcons.
