Two of the NBA’s most surprising teams will go head-to-head in California tonight when the Sacramento Kings host the Indiana Pacers. Each team is above .500 and has impressed many.
The Kings have lost three straight games but still have one of the best offenses in the NBA. The Pacers, on the other hand, just fled Los Angeles with a miraculous victory over the Lakers. They have the momentum on their side.
However, momentum may not matter. Kings-Pacers features a ton of storylines that make it a game unlike most normal regular-season games since the two teams made a big trade in February. Tyrese Haliburton, Domantas Sabonis and Buddy Hield will all be up against their old franchises today.

Pacers vs. Kings injury report
Center Daniel Theis (right knee surgery) and winger Chris Duarte (left ankle) are out for Indiana. Trevelin Queen and Kendall Brown could be in the G League under their two-way contracts, though Brown has played twice for the Pacers in the last week.
Keon Ellis, Chima Moneke and Neemias Queta are missing for Sacramento. Trey Lyles from Indianapolis is doubtful.
Important matchups
Tyrese Haliburton vs. De’Aaron Fox: Two point guards with seasons at All-Star level will go head-to-head at Fox and Haliburton tonight. Haliburton leads the league in assists while Fox is scoring like crazy, averaging 24.3 points per game.
Both ball carriers are fast and can play with the ball dynamically. There could be fireworks on offense for both teams tonight. Expect a high score affair.
Myles Turner vs. Domantas Sabonis: The two greats, who have grappled with questions about their ability to play together in Indiana, will finally go head-to-head tonight.
Both have stellar seasons as Turner scores (18 points per game) and rebounds (8.5 rebounds per game) at a career level. Sabonis averages a double-double and is still one of the best rebounders and screeners in the NBA. The fight within will be key tonight.
