BLOOMINGTON, Indiana — A few losses this past weekend until then-No. 1 North Carolina not only lost some of the shine from Wednesday night’s meeting with Indiana, but also increased the points spread a bit.
According to SI Sportsbook’s opening line Wednesday morning, Indiana is now a 5.5-point favorite. Some futures lines in other locations had this as a pick ’em game prior to last weekend. The over/under is 147.5 for the ACC/Big Ten Challenge game at 9:15 p.m. ET at Simon Skjodt. Here’s how to see: CLICK HERE
Indiana is currently 6-0 and has moved up a notch each week in the Associated Press poll, going from 13th last season to 10th now. North Carolina was No. 1 until last week, falling to 18th after two losses.
That’s a big drop in the polls. Indiana was very good against the point spread, going 5-1 against the number. North Carolina’s slow start is also reflected in their record against the spread, where they sit at 1.6.
There will likely be a lot of action and potential movement on this line today. We’ll keep you updated and publish the last line later in our LIVE BLOG.
