Texas LB Devin Richardson enters the NCAA transfer portal

Texas linebacker Devin Richardson entered the NCAA transfer portal as a graduate transfer, a source with knowledge of the situation told Horns247 on Friday. The 6-foot-3-inch, 234-pound Richardson played in 20 games over two seasons with the Longhorns.

Richardson, a Fort Bend Hightower product who was a member of the New Mexico State recruit class in 2018, played in 14 games and made 10 starts in two seasons (one full season, one shortened) with the Aggies before becoming one of the 2021 den Forty Acres changed head coaches from five FBS players Steve Sarkisian recruited from the transfer portal before his first season on the job.

Richardson was a 2019 Freshman All-American and recorded 69 tackles, three tackles for loss, two sacks and three forced fumbles in 10 games for New Mexico State as a redshirt freshman.
